Mary Teresa Nustra-Lucente - Original Birth Certificate / Birth Record?

As far as I know she was born at home without a birth certificate. She has a certificate of Naturalization on file in Lake County, Illinois dated March 16, 1926. That is the only documentation found other than word of mouth.

Thanks, Lucia. I was able to obtain a copy of Mary's naturalization file from the Circuit Court of Lake County. I only recently learned that prior to the Cable Act of 1922, American women lost their US citizenship when marrying foreign men. At first I was confused how Mary could have been born in Pennsylvania in 1903, but also had a Naturalization record from 1926.

I also just sent a request to the Diocese of Allentown asking if perhaps they had a record of baptism or anything else on file.

You may find a baptism record if the church kept records well. My grandmother's brother Frank J. Nustra was politically influential in lake county and may have help the process of getting Naturalization papers. Just a thought.
