My grandmother, Alice Amelia, was a daughter of Thomas Jefferson Godfrey and Phoebe Lamar Godfrey. She was born in Linwood, KS, and she is also buried there, at Mt Sydney Cemetery, with her parents and siblings, overlooking the Kaw RIver.
