This article (http://www.ruffnerfamily.org/wp-content/uploads/Summer-2011-Issue-P...) makes a pretty good case that Teter Clem's wife wasn't the same person as Catharine Ruffner. Basically, Peter Ruffner's daughter died before 1778. In addition, Peter Clem, son of David Clem, married a Catharine Ruffner whose father was Benjamin Ruffner. These seem to have been confused.
