Bernabey is the father of Jean above, and 'his brother' doesn't come into it. It is a direct generational descent from Bernabey to Francois (III) (though he had an elder brother Francois who died very young, and there are many other later Francoises. There are alternative routes through the Jeannes Le C.'s from Jacques etc. - just to confuse.
1 Bernabey Le Couteur (1455-1534)

4 Jean Le Couteur (1550-1607)
5 Jacques Le Couteur (1586-1638)

7 Francois Le Couteur (1659-1716) m (1691) Jeanne Le Couteur (1663-1714) d of Josue (1629-1682)

This is a very tricky one due to the marriages of cousins, and duplicate names – but you seem to have followed it OK - Well done!
