William Terrell - Looking for ancestry of Jeremiah Terrell

My second great-grandmother was Rebecca C. Terrell, m. Benjamin Head. Her parents were William Terrell (1762-1850) & Martha Ann Taylor (1782-1860). William's father was Jeremiah Terrell, b. abt. 1738 and here's where it gets confusing and I'm looking for some info. Apparently William and Susannah Terrell had as their first son, William. He is not listed in the will, however. Apparently, he was a rebellious sort and was the father of Jeremiah by Rachel Jordan and they were brought before the court and fined for adultery, etc. In some records a Jeremiah Jordan was found & a record exists for marriage between Jeremiah Jordan and Louisa Walton. Apparently, at some point he assumed the Terrell name and his will lists Louisa as wife. Can anyone shed any light on Jeremiah's real lineage?

Thank you Cynthia. I don't recognize any of those. My Rebecca Terrell died in Georgia and I am certain of that from Head family history. The Terrell line I have just started researching and there's a lot out there on them.
