So I was looking at records for Daniel and found this https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VQX2-GMH

which list his parents as Andrew and Margaret.

I followed up with this clue and found I have dna matches with descendents of Andrew McFarland and Margaret Christie m.8 dec 1725

anyone else find DNA info that backs this up?

One DNA match I have is with Private User and her son on Ancestry DNA. Merge pending. I've looked at her lineage though Andrew McFarland and all looks correct. It looks as some others have made the connection between Daniel and Andrew&Margret on other sites, most likely because of that town birth record listed above.
