called by the serious illness of her
mother, Mrs. Ingeborg Sjolie.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Ingeborg O. Sjolie.

Mrs. Ingeborg O. Sjolie died at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin
Benson, in Erskine on Easter Sunday
morning, after a month's illness.
Ingeborg Ostby was born March 12,
1828, at Prysil [correction - Trysil], Norway. She was married
in 1848 to Martinus S. Sjolie in
Solor, Norway, where they remained
until 1861, when they came to America,
settling in Greenvale, Dakota
county. Twelve children were born
to them, six of whom are living. Mr.
Sjolie died in 1876. In 1906 Mrs. Sjolie
moved to Madison where she remained
until 1913 when she went to
make her home with her daughter in
Erskine. Mrs. Sjolie leaves four sons, Ole,
Martin, Peter and Magnus, all of Madison
and two daughters, Mrs. Martin
Benson of Erskine and Mrs. O. H.
Shirley of Northfield.
Funeral services were held at Mrs.
Benson's home in Erskine, and burial
was in the Erskine cemetery.
