Jean Dubé - Jean Dube? Is his parentage questionable?

Interesting questions as I noticed this oddity as well. My family descends from one of the DuBois sons. Another Dube son (same parents) are the line that descends to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (who is my 10th cousin). The matter of Huguenot persecution is interesting. The DuBois family were actually DuBois de Fiennes. They dropped the de Fiennes. When they (Jean duBois ) left France they went to Lieges (where Francoy DuBois was born) and then to Sweden. Their lands and titles had been stripped away. The family goes back to the Merovingian kings of France, the Capets etc.You might check out documents relating to the ancient royal families of France.
