What a journey it has become. Found my Great-Great Grandmothers obit (actually sent to me by someone in the "Aint 'Dere no More" Facebook Group after I responded to a post of no longer there funeral homes), I was quite taken back that I may have a direct line to a prominent family (Jacques de Villere) who help shaped the modern day New Orleans, Louisiana.
I'm hoping this journey will make family out of strangers! Definitely a process.
