The information I have is from a letter written to me in May, 1955 from my great grandmother, Sarah Jane ( Marcum) Hosmer:
Her mother was Martha Jane Roberts (born 12/09/1849, died 04/06/1935) and her father was Joseph Steven Marcum. Martha Jane's father was Doctor Hiram Roberts and her mother i believe was Mary "Polly" Ayers. Martha Jane Roberts had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Brothers: Martin, Jimmy, and Jessie. Sisters: Adline and Thursey. She goes on to say her grandfather was a fine medical doctor.
