Charles Minifie (1755-1825) was charged with bastardy when he was about 21. He lived in Lifton, Devon, England. A daughter, Elizabeth, was born in May 1777 to Ann Heard. I believe he acknowledged the daughter and at some point she lived with him and his wife, Sarah Channon Minifie.
I have quite a lot of information on Charles who came to America in about 1798. He is my 3rd great grandfather.
