Hi!
Does anyone know how can I find the current name of a street?
I'm looking for Augustinova street. (named that way sometime around 1940).

I didn't found it in encyklopedie.brna.cz.

In Czech, Augustinova is the female form of Augustin - I've found a St. Augustin church in Brno, so maybe it could be the street where the church is located?

I have addressed the Brno city archives many times with similar questions and always got the answer I was looking for:

https://archiv.brno.cz/index.php?nav01=1734

or mail directly to

amb@brno.cz

The city archive definitely .I got great help on a similar question about České Budějovice from the city museum in České Budějovice.

I got some very useful help from the Brno city library when I was searching for street names which have changed historically. Can't find web address but you should be able to find it easily via Google. You could also ask the Brno Jewish Community for help.

Hi, possibly you have Augustnská on your mind?! This was the former name of Veveří (or Eichhorngasse) right in the centre of Brno. Best regards, Ivo

Thank you all!
I hope to find the street.
Augustinova is a transcription of a handwritten text in the 1940s, so perhaps it refers to Augustnská

i find the Brno Online Encyclopedia is a good resource for street names. Here's their entry on Augustinská: https://encyklopedie.brna.cz/home-mmb/?acc=profil_ulice&load=7140
