My thoughts are around investigating when did Oudan, my great grandfather (paternal grandmother's father) came to Jamaica. He was married to Louisa, formally know as Algoo. My auntie Iris Cayman (UK) confirmed that Louisa (Algoo) told her that she was from India. I suspect that Oudan was definitely from India too. Their first child was Alice (my Paternal grandmother), who was born in Jamaica, Westmoreland (Bell-isle Estate) on 26/4/13. I suspect that Oudan came to Jamaica 1 year before. I will look at the the list for ships that came to Jamaica around that time (1912). Based on the potential death certificate, I calculated that he was born cc1889 in India, and he had Alice when he was 24. He died age 55.
