Could someone please enlighten us as to where the middle name Edward comes from?
Because ... Scotland's People records the birth of simply John Norval to John Norval and Janet Foyar
I am not aware that there is currently any documentary proof that this John "Edward" Norval is the same as the John Norval of John and Janet Foyar. However ... on the assumption that it is correct then death and tombstone of John Norval (husband of Mary Jane Murray), records his name as simply only John Norval
