The Overview section says:
1. Joseph "the Calvinist" MacDowell (b. 1620 in Galloway, Argyll Scotland)
2. Abraham MacDowal/MacDowell (b. 1648 Loch Etive, Argyllshire, Scotland) m. Ann Calhoun
3. William Joseph McDowell (b. 1668 Northern Ireland; d. 1733 Cecil Co., MD) m. Ruth Ann Roberts (?) abt 1668 in Northern Ireland
4. Charles McDowell <--- our ancestor
The dates and information listed however are different. It says Abraham, son of Joseph, was born in 1631 (rather than 1648) and that he was married to a Rebecca (not an Ann Calhoun). It also says his son Joseph McDowell (which I'm guessing is supposed to be the same person as William Joseph McDowell) was born in circa 1654 (rather than 1668). So I am all sorts of confused on what the correct information is. I am hoping someone can clarify this for me. Thanks!
