It has been claimed that Thomas Cash is the son of James II, King of Scots, but the sources cited in his overview do not provide any evidence in support of this claim and I can find no mention of him in Christine McGladdery's scholarly biography of the king.

Can anyone provide an authentic source reference?

A link to ‘Turner Trees by Keith Pott Turner’ is included in the overview of Thomas Cash's profile but this entertaining book does not offer any proof. It hardly seems possible that the existence of this man, claimed as an illegitimate son of James IV, King of Scots, would have escaped the notice of modern historians, but it would appear that it has.

In the last post please read James II, King of Scots, for James IV, King of Scots.

Yes, the Turner book is not evidence.

The Turner book claims that Johnny Cash is the Johnny Cash but I do not believe that is so. There are 2 John Cash men, living in different parts of Virginia.

Does anyone have the book so we could see his sources?

The link in Eugene’s pots is to the book.

His book has no source though. I found him on twitter and asked him. Will let you know if he responds.

File this one under "not impossible, but unprovable".
