Hello Cousin,

I have been looking for Alexander Kells marriage license to Elmira, now when working with others on the second marriage to Alexander Kell not Kim Kell, they said that Elmira's name was Foster, and her mother went to live with her on boardman road and here name was Mary Foster, is it that Elmira's name as Smith was that her married name and her maiden name was Foster.

I am told that I come from the first family of Alexander Kell and his American Indian wife Emily Amy Duncan and their daughter Rhoda who was born before her mother died. Many say that she died in 1820 but no proof of that she could have died before or about 1823-1824 why else was Elkin called this name when others had different american names. I haven't looked at your complete file yet, and I haven't researched your side of the family either I am having enough really to keep me going for more years than i have been digging on my own.

we share the same lineage through Alexander Kell to Capt James Kell and his father David Kell and Alexander on my end would have been my 3rd great grandfather with Emily, their daughter Rhoda was my second and her last child Charity was my grandmother who moved from Gilmer Ga to AR and married Walter Moses Holloway their daughter Elizabeth was my mother..

so are you willing to share the reason you put in Elmira's name as Smith is that her maiden name or Married name from a previous husband before Alexander and do you have a marriage license or anything showing when Alexander and Elmira Married.

my name is Sharron Ritchie Alley, and I live in Oklahoma at this time ...But did come to GA at one time to gather my information from the Gilmer Library and met with some of the kin that live close by.

hope to hear from you my regular email is trackersea@gmail.com
