I am descendant of Robert Voel Salter (1529-1581) and it comes up that his father is William Winthrop ll. Can't figure out why. Can anyone help?

There is no Robert Salter attached to the William Winthrop profile that you link to, and I can’t find whatever Robert Salter you mean.

Do you mean that this connection shows up elsewhere, not on Geni?
