Their last name in the deeds was Thomson. She was in the deeds during the 1790s as Thomson in Sampson County. She DID NOT marry a Joseph Thompson Jr. who died 1850s Surry, NC, 40 years after Martha and her three children migrated to Bedford, TN, dying there.
