I have difficulty with Gloucester being Oliver Wise's birthplace.
I give a creditable reference, one of many that track this location:
"A Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Landed Gentry of Great Britain" Vol. 2, page 492, "Wise of the Manor of St. John's" states Greston is in Cornwall.
Another reference:
"The Gentleman's Magazine" London, Vol 150, page 313.
Both of the above are computer available.
Greston is on the Tamar River in Cornwall, which is where the Wise name is first recorded prior to the migration to the next county, Devon.
