When Grandpa was born his father was not present and did not marry his mother, Mary E. Bryan. His name appears in the 1880 Census for Beccaria Country as "Grandson" Harry Clayton.
I am the only living Grandson.
In 1882 Harry was given up for adoption and his name changed to Clayton Arthur, where my linage developed with the Arthur name.
I have DNA for myself from MYHERITAGE and Y37 DNA and Autosomal DNA through GENI and myFTDNA sites...and have spent decades researching to find the link to my Great Grandfather who no ones knows of.
I am currently investigating a potential relative though very sketchy at best.
A one James Clayton b.1846 in Gulich, Pa. according to 1880 Census reporting may have lived within a reasonable distance of my Great Grandmothers home...speculating that he might of been her acquaintance, the time frame is possible.

If you are interested and would help this Great Grandson with any information you might share would be most appreciated.

Peace and Joy to you this holiday Season!

Sincerely, Burt K. Arthur
