On Ancestry and 23andMe, he has DNA matches with descendants of Jakob Freeman and Mirel Yetta Hertz.These DNA matches are within the 4th cousin range, with one being within the 3rd cousin range. This leads to a strong possibility that Alan's GG-grandmother was the sister of Jakob Freeman. However, this is not definite, and the common Freeman ancestor could be further back.
