While there clearly were Reynolds (Reignolds), including several Roberts, living in East Bergholt, Sussex, the connection from these Reynolds to Robert Reynolds of Boston, who probably came from Kent, is murky. The direct line often reported involves a mythical "Christopher Reynolds", inaccurately reported as the son of the last of the Roberts of East Bergholt. The profile you show of Agnes Hall, referencing a family tree on Ancestry.com, is one that perpetuates this mythical Christopher, as well as showing East Bergholt as being in Kent rather than Sussex.
Si, I was driving around western England last week while on vacation and drove up the driveway to the Reynolds/Reynell manor in West Ogwell, Devon, an impressive place dating back to the 14th century (that is now a Buddhist retreat). These are the Reynolds that ended up in East Bergholt. The various American Reynolds' lines might like to be connected to them, but this Christopher is widely understood by the Reynolds Fam Assn to be a fabrication.
