I hope I don't have to know Finnish to post here. I am 23% Finnish by DNA. I know I am not Finnish on my dad's side as his ancestors have been in America since the 1600s on both sides. So, it has to be my mom's side. My mom's mom's side is solidly from Sweden. My great grandfather was born there and his wife's mother and father were born there, also. All of their parents and grandparents, great grandparents, etc. were born in Sweden. That leaves my mom's dad's side. The only one I don't have an origin for is my 3rd great grandpa. Nobody knows where his family came from. His name was Rev. Joseph Franklin Fisher, Sr.. His wife was from Germany and Switzerland before that. He is the only possible grandparent that could have been from Finland. Geni shows me from time to time that I have 3rd or 4th cousins from Finland, but I can never find the path.
I do hope someone can help me!
