Sir James Fraser of Brea, Kt. - Son named John

I have now found that James Fraser of Brea and Beatrice Wemyss had 9 children, one of which was John

Jan Bach I too discovered conflicting info regarding the children of Sir James Fraser of Brea. One of my ancestors is John Fraser and is listed as one of his children but official Scottish Peerage page does not list John as one of his children. If not son of Sir James Fraser then who is John's father. I have not been able to find anything doing an extensive internet search to find an alternative father for John. Very confusing. FamilySearch.org states John not son of Sir James Fraser per Scottish Peerage page. Any thoughts?
