My maternal ggrandfather Thomas Cameron claimed that he was born approx. 1844 in Ireland. No record of his birth. His father was Charles Cameron born 1822 in Greyfriars, Edinburgh. Thomas's mother was Nancy/Agnes - no other details. Thomas is listed in the 1871 Broxburn, Scotland census prior to immigrating to Quebec, Canada. He eventually immigrated to North Dakota in 1883.with his second wife, Elizabeth Loughren. I have DNA matches with Cameron descendants whose distant relatives lived in Kilmallie,Invernessshire, Scotland but cannot find the direct link back to their ancestors.
Does anyone have information regarding my Cameron ancestors since I cannot find any further details regarding my ggrandfather.
