Once again someone has mixed Parker yDNA Family Group #5 children with Parker yDNA Family Group #18. The Nathaniel Parker who migrated from Hampshire County, VA (now Mineral County, W.V.) abt. 1790 to Sumner County, TN, and whose will was dated the 25 Feb 1811 and his father died in 1760 Hampshire County, VA. belongs to Parker yDNA FG#18. Only 5 of 25 markers match and 23 of 25 markers have to match to prove a biological relationship.
The Nathaniel Parker who died in 1811 Sumner County, TN. DID NOT have sons named Francis or Daniel; and the Elder John Parker is proven Parker yDNA FG #5. And Susannah Daughettee was not the Sumner County, TN's daughter Susannah. Nor did the Sumner County, TN. Nathaniel Parker marry Ann Clayton. His proven wives were 1st Elizabeth Scott and 2nd Mary Ramsey Bledsoe.
Is there not a way to stop people from overwriting and merging? I am trying Ancestry and finding that even my beloved father's date of death is being forced overwitten by those who believe they know better than we who stood there and held daddy's hand as he died. I am very disheartened, as you are, that some who just decide to put in unresearched info breaks our trees.
