Никола Велянов (American name Nick Williams)

Hi,

I am sending this message in hopes that someone there is able to help me with locating information on my family from Sofia, Bulgaria. My great grandfather was Никола Велянов (American name Nick Williams) and his parents, we believe are Димитър Велянов and Мария Иванова Велянов. He migrated to America in 1913, Up until recently, had no information from before that.

A contact in Sofia has given us information on his parents and has located his profile in Geni World. My sister is traveling to Sofia for 2 days next week and would love to meet with anyone that can help with retrieving information on this relative. We are trying to find approximately where in Sofia he lived, what parish they attended or any records giving us history on the family. It has been difficult translating the records off of the website.
