Dear Anne and John,
I have at last finished my draft of the story of the
Liebenberg children, having decided that I cannot continue checking all
the information that comes in., and must get on with recording it.
Thanks very much for the valuable info you have provided.
It has been most useful.
Attached is a copy of my draft of the story. I have sent a
copy to a friend in Zimbabwe who knows much of the history of the
Matabele, for him to check. He is overseas at present, and I have asked
him to check any historical points about the Matabele that I have wrong.
Please also do likewise as regards any part of the story
which is incorrect. It has been very difficult deciding which of
different versions of the same incidents are correct., as there are so
many conflicting reports. Even from reputable writers.
When I have made any corrections/amendments that are
necessary, I will send it to Rhodesians Worldwide for their magazine.
