William "the Immigrant"

I have noticed on a couple of sites that this man, early to America, has been blessed with a wife named Douglas/Dowglas and credited to Clan Henderson. I surmise that this comes from a Scottish marriage record. However, our guy was seated on his land in Virginia by 1659, had obviously been there a few years, and was married to Ann Hopkins. He is probably ancestral to many American Hendersons. I would like to know if Clan Henderson (or anyone else) has anything to add to William the Immigrant?
