There is no proof, from any of the quoted sources, the John Lane and his wife, Jane (Littleton), had daughters by the names of Sarah or Elizabeth. And, Alice, who was definitely a daughter of the said couple, has been omitted from the documentation listed for John Lane, on this page. Yet, she listed in the overview. Also, their daughter Margaret, which many people (especially elsewhere, such as Ancestry) seemed to have used by lumping her name with "Sarah" and hoping people might just overlook it, died unmarried. So, she left no kids. Unless you have proof positive that "Sarah" (wife of another "grouped name" personage...."Edward Thomas" Waddy) and "Elizabeth" are daughters of John and Jane, you should remove them from the pedigree and do some actual research to find their parentage. Rather than just copy what everyone else has written done and expect it to be correct. Do your research and get it right. Stop perpetuating misleading and/or false pedigrees. In order to resolve this, the wills of both John and Jane will need to be found. As of yet, I have been unable to find either of the wills. Nor have I found any evidence in any other documentation, such as court rolls, manorial records, etc. So, based on the evidence so far, "Sarah" and "Elizabeth" must be removed from the pedigree until more evidence for their existence and parentage are forthcoming. The evidence as given is completely useless and says nothing to their parentage or existence.
