The earliest link to the history of the Meads family is John Elisha Meads born in Pennsylvania in abt 1828. The parents have not been able to be documented. The town he was born in was call Little York. Throughout the later part I know who he married under the name of Julian Mary Ann Julia (Juliann) Miller. They were married in Ohio. Some of the documented information as they emigrated west they were part of the Meads caravan. The settlement of the family follows a course through Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado. The interesting part are the census records that indicated John's occupation as a "Brick Make" that would indicated a trades person or family trade was part of his early life. The trade followed to Colorado where others had been taught the trade and fired their own brick for building purpose in Weld County Colorado. My topic of discussion is to find the linkage to John's parents and to possible the early entry to the Plymouth Colony in or around 1635 under the namesake of John Meads. All the help would be greatly appreciated. Following entries can also be forwarded to eldon.meade@gmail.com
