Searching for any information on the father and mother of Michael Doherty/Dougherty or siblings. Michael was married to Mary Calaghan in Louisville 1897. He lived in Louisville in 1890's and early 1920's. Lived and died in Tarrant City, Al. in 1935. I know of 2 brothers , George and James and 2 sisters Mary O'Donnell and Margaret Dougherty. Margaret was a Catholic Nun, Sister Appolonia. She was a Sister of Charity of Nazareth. She died May 25, 1931 and is buried in SCN Cemetery in or near Louisville, Ky. The recorded burial name is Appolonia Dougherty.
Michael Doherty was my grandfather.
