Johannes Christoffel Els, b3c3 - Wrong wives?

Valeta, I can't see that geni has a wife called Elsie Sophia van der Merwe, though?

Elsie Sophia Els, b2c5d4e2f1 is his mother.

Still some confusion with the Death Notice for Johannes Christoffel Els (Johannes Christoffel Els, b3c3).

Firstly, it does not list Elsie Sophia's (his mother) last name. Geni has that she is the daughter of Willem van der Merwe and Elsje Cecilia Sophia van der Merwe. Because his Death Notice does not list her last name, I was inquiring about sources to confirm.

There are also other problems, Geni notes the 7 children of Johannes Christoffel Els as:
Elsie Sophia Lötter
Marthinus Johannes Els
Susara Susanna Aletta Maria Bekker
Petrus Jacobus Johannes Stephanus Els
Wilhelmus Stephanus Els
Gert Els
Anna Cecilia Maria Sophia Els

The Death Notice lists 8/9 children as:
(1) Elsie Sophia Lotter married to Isaac Johannes Jacobus Lotter (Geni is Izak as this was interchangeable in documents with Isaac)
(2) Johannes Christoffel Els ...then things go awry...
(?) Johannes Jacobus Marthinus Els - surviving (? illegible)
(3) Anna Sophia Cecilia? Maria Els

Then it says, "by second wife was surviving"
(4) Gert Els
(5) Pietrus Jacobus Johannes Stephanus Els
(6) Willem Stephanus Els
(7) Marthinus Johannes Els
(8) Susara Susanna Aletta Maria Els married to Bekker

I assume that Johannes Christoffel Els died because not only is he missing from Geni, but Johannes Jacobus Marthinus Els does not have a specific designated number and is also not listed in Geni...also dies? However, two name have different spelling and one with an order of 2nd, 3rd and 4th names.

Question is, do we go with the Death Notice or the information captured by people?

Spelling of Willem Stephanus Els and Pietrus Jacobus Johannes Els as opposed to Wilhelmus Stephanus Els and Petrus Jacobus Johannes Els.

This was why I was trying to get more sources as it would be nice to point to something to explain the discrepancies.

Further to this, I managed to find the Death notice for Anna Maria Sophia Els, b3c1. The Death Notice confirms her parents as Johannes Christoffel Els, a1b3 and Elsie Sophia Els, b2c5d4e2f1 (the daughter of Willem van der Merwe and Elsje van der Merwe). So definitely is van der Merwe and have documentation to back it up and has been added as a source to Anna Els' profile. (HAPPY!)

Side note, was not so easy to find as whomever had captured the information listed the parents as Abraham Els and Elsje van Den Neuor. Although the image was not captured well, you can still see that what was captured is most certainly not what is on the page.
