If anyone can help.....I have been attempting to locate more on my grandfather's side of the family. He was Daniel Petrus van Rensburg(b.17/12/1919 d 1998),son of John Henry (b 1890) and Isabella Margaretha/Magret/Margrit van Der Wath(b2.11.1894 d. 17/5/1982) Siblings John(Johnny), James(apparently died very young) and Martha Jacoba Grant(nee V.R). I have found marriage records for John & Isabella (m 15.07.1916 in lady grey Aliwal North) but nothing more for either of them. It was always assumed that it was Daniel who dropped the "Janse", until I found the marriage record of John, who signed "van Rensburg", also no "Janse". So possibly he dropped it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
