When John Harvey Seay passed in Nov. 1940, he and wife Mary Agnes Edenton Seay, daughters Doris Edenton Seay (Butler) and Mary Agnes Seay (Lowry) lived at 1901 Fairmont Ave. in the home of Dr. Hugh Sublett. Dr Sublett was the long tenured Rector of St. Johns Episcopal on Church Hill, Richmond...site of the Patrick Henry "Give Me Liberty" speech. Dr Sublett is buried just to the right of the front entrance to the church. After John Harvey Seay died , Mary, Doris and Mary Agnes continued to live at Dr. Subletts residence for several more years.

Bravo... That is a wonderful tidbit... You've been on the site 10 minutes and already you have added an interesting family story that sets some historical context...

Thanks for sharing that cousin...
