My name is Cheryl Perreault nee Sickle. I have a match with Alisdair Tait as follows, my Dad is a 4.1 match and my Dad's first cousin a 4.3 match. While I realize 4 generations is not ideal. I have been in touch with Alisdair Tait. No luck so far. My great grandfather Christian John Sickle born 1865 changed his last name to Sickle around 1890. He was Ashkenazi Jew and I believe he changed his last name because his family disowned him. That is what I have been told by relatives. He did get married in the Dutch Reform Church. My tree is on Geni. I have done extensive research and have been back to South Africa research. I have every conceivable document available concerning relatives. However I cannot go back further than his birth 1865 because of a name change. Many thanks Cheryl
