Exporting a merged tree/entire tree

I've been searching discussions and cannot find this question/answer anywhere. I have already upgraded to a pro membership.

I have merged with a relative and now my tree has 268 people, 24 of whom I entered myself. When I try to export my gedcom, it only allows me to export the 24 I entered, rather than all 268. Even if I wanted to manually enter some of the 268 family members, geni.com won't let me because they are "already there." How can I export my entire tree?

Hi Persephanie Silverthorn, unfortunately this is a necessity to prevent our users from feeling like others are "stealing" their work by taking it off Geni. Was the majority of the tree built by one of your relatives? Can he/she do the export for you?

I understand that no one wants their work "stolen," but if we can't manually add people who have already been added by others, then that means we can't even make it our own work to export it. Several of my distant relatives in Sweden (and a few in the US) have added relatives, but the various relatives have been different "added by" or "moderators." So basically, unless I contact every one of them to have them make me a gedcom file, there is nothing I can do?
