How do I take over management of the many profiles attached to my late sister's name?

My sister started building the family tree in GENI in 2008, and it is extensive. She passed away several years ago, and I would like to take over where she left off. Is there a way to take over management of the profiles she created?

Jerome - I do not see the choice "Deceased" for her in "Actions", so assume someone reported her as deceased.
Were you the one who reported her as Deceased, and if so - when you did so, did you ask to be the one to take over her profiles? (not sure that always works, but it is one possibility).

Do not know of any way to make them honor your wishes to be the one. But it looks like your other siblings show as "Abandoned Tree" so with any luck Geni will give it to you.

If nothing happens in a few days, or if someone other than you is assigned, I can give a few more suggestions then.

Private User if you are talking about Kathy you have to ask Geni to close her account by reporting her as deceased to release her and the managed profiles. You find the Report option in the actions menu of her profile. If you want the managed profiles you can mention that in your report (in theory you would inherit them anyhow).

I notice that Allison has an abandoned isolated tree as well, and if it is OK I will merge them into your tree just to reduce to one tree.

Thank you, Lois & Bjorn.

I believe I did ask to take over her profiles when I reported her as deceased, but received no reply that I'm aware of. In spite of my "Pro" designation, I'm not a very regular user and can't find my old reporting action, if that's possible.

Private User - as I mentioned yesterday, "Deceased" is not one of the options one currently has when one clicks "Report" on Kathy's profile. This suggests it has in fact already been reported.
Any idea how long Jerome should wait before taking further action - and what further action do you recommend he should take - if Kathy's Profile just continues to sit as claimed with no option any longer to report her as deceased?

Jerome - do your recall how long ago you reported her as deceased? [not to the minute - but was it a day or two, or more than a week, or ?]

Lois: If a profil is already reported you will get an error message about that if you try again.

The error here is that Jerome of some reason managed to change her profile to deceased earlier this year probably because it was flagged as an abandoned account without a valid email.

I have changed it back so Jerome can send the report (as a close relative it goes faster if he does that)

Bjorn - Sorry - there was no black ribbon in the corner, so assumed it was still marked as living.
Supposedly Mike had fixed Geni so it was not possible to mark a claimed profile as deceased - abandoned should definitely not have made a diff.
Should Mike be flagged - or is it probably too late for him to tell what went wrong - or??

Bjorn & Lois, I just reported Kathleen's passing and requested to manage her profiles, as suggested. Thanks again for your help. I'll be back for further guidance if I don't hear anything on that request.
