I'm looking for any possible relatives of James T. Toombs /Tombs/Toomes, born 1846-1847 in Tennessee. There is a James T. Toombs buried in Quachita Parish, Louisiana died 1899, wife of Nancy Elizabeth Butler Toombs. I have been able to track James Tombs to Tennessee in 1850 US Census for Bedford County Tennessee. James also in 1870 US Census Quachita Parish Louisana.
I believe this may be the older brother of my g-grandmother Martha Jane (Tombs) Johnson, born 1853 (Tenn) married Isom A. Johnson. Both in 1870 US Census for Quachita Parish Louisiana.
