In addition to being my Dad's first cousin's wife Cousin Lil was also my piano teacher for about 4 years between 1955 and 1959. I can remember having a tearful argument with her about the fractions used to mark the beat. I never was good at mathematics. She always insisted on playing the piano with curved fingers although I have since noticed that is not the rule followed by all pianists. Cousin Lil always seemed so tired and her fingers appeared to be worked to the bone. She would regularly doze during my piano lessons.
I remember Betsy (Elizabeth) and Judy being very sweet and friendly. They were always together as is often the case with identical twins. The only way I could tell them apart was that Betsy (Elizabeth) had a dark birth mark to the left of her nose.
I have been told that identical twins are random in nature and not genetically determined but the fact is that there are also a lot of fraternal twins in the Olin family. The genetic source might be Meemeh (Aunty) Sureh Genis Olin, Betsy (Elizabeth) and Judy's great grandmother who herself may have been a fraternal(?) twin.
