HELP! I have a new found cousin (a DNA match found on gedmatch) She has built a small tree on geni. She asked if I would collaborate with her temporarily so that I could help add to her tree. I agreed.

Unfortunately, there are no arrows in which to add anyone to her tree! She showed me screen shots in which she made all of the profiles public. I asked her how she adds to her tree. She says she uses an ipad and adds from the profile and not tree mode. Is this even possible?

I don't know how to help her. Any suggestions?

Collaboration does only give access to public profiles, - invite to family group to get access to private profiles unless she flag her deceased profiles you want to add to as public.

Bjorn P. Brox Thank you for your response. I did send her a family group invitation. I will see it that makes a difference! She did make all of the profiles public so maybe I just needed to add her to family. Thank you!

If your collaborator is Belinda none of her profiles is public. There has been a restriction in Geni lately because of the new GDPR rules that added profiles becomes private even if marked as deceased if they are in recent generations. Those profiles has to be changed manually to public.

There might however be a problem since she still is in isolated tree. She could add you as a manager on the profiles you want to add to if nothing else work.
