In 1878, Norton A. Walker married Catherine Haney, daughter of Thomas and Mary Ann (Welsh) at Immaculate Conception in Springfield, Sangamon County, IL. A 1912 bio of Sangamon County says Mary Ann's parents never left Ireland. In 1885 Norton's younger brother Eli Douglas Walker married Mary Ann Haney, daughter of John and Mary Catherine (McCormick), also at Immaculate Conception. The obituary of this Mary Ann (my great-grandmother) says that she was a native of Sangamon County. I'm trying to piece together the probably rHaney relationships here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
