In the 1950's Mr. Selchen worked in the office of the Talmud Torah in Winnipeg. Once a month I would go into the office to pay for my and my sister Rhoda's tuition. I found him to be a very pleasant and dignified man. I believe that he was very literate in the Yiddish language.
