"Smart"Copy isn't.

Everything has to be double-checked manually *before* attempting to SmartCopy.

If it doesn't match, DON'T.

I don't know what it takes to get this apparently simple message through to people.

It takes looking at the entire merging process being looked at. This is my family not just historical figures and I am frankly fed up with the merges and multiple managers. I do not add anything to the Geni site anymore as it is messed up.

Now that it's been brought to everyone's attention, we cn work on getting it sorted out. No guarantees it will *stay* sorted out, though. :-(

Margaret Billingford b 1418 in Long Stratton she had two children with Sir John the third child was to Elizabeth Rookewood and she was Susan b 1455. I don’t have a death date for Margaret so don’t know where that comes from. I used the Leveson Gower book The Genealogy of the Family Gresham as the basis for my research and have extracted every record I can find to flesh out the tree. As stated this is my family it has taken a lot of work time and money to compile it and I really resent the history being distorted by the merging. I hope this answers your question

Sorry slip of the keyboard it’s James Gresham my 14 th x g grandfather

Looks like the author did a lot of hard digging for original documents, which wasn't always the case back then (1883) and is definitely to be commended.
