I saw the Kvitrud name here and i believe we are related. My Grandfather imigrated to Alaska when he was 18 years old with his brother Anton and uncle Tom..The family name is Kvitrud, it became Johansen when my Grandfat her Engbret Kvitrud Johansen became an american citizen. My Grandfathers oldest sister was Mina and he had many other siblings. His fathers name was Johannes and mother Ahn. Grandpa was born and raised on a little cheese garm in Ringebu, Norway. He always said he grew up in Kirkegarten farm. I was born andcraised in Fairbanks Alaska. My grandmothers name is Mary. (Engbrets wife) They had 3 children; Agnes Maud, Elsie Nora, and Engbret Johansen Jr. They raised their family in the 40 mile country in Alaska. My mother is Elsie Nora she had 6 children: Chester, Joyce (me) Charles, Robert, Ronnie and Terry. I would love to hear grom someone in my family. I live in Alaska.
