It's been brought to my attention that there are duplicate Master Profiles for William Brereton however there is one difference between them - their mothers name.
This profile has Margaret Nee Holland whereas the mother shown in Maj. Gen. Sir William Brereton, 1st Baronet is
Margaret Nee Savage.

Looking to achieve accuracy where I can - which mother do we think is correct and are there any sources?

Anne Brannen, I've found that the history of Brereton Hall says that William married the daughter of his guardian - Margaret Savage but have also found
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_William_Brereton,_1st_Baronet 13 September 1604 – 7 April 1661 which is not succinct who his mother was.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Brereton,_1st_Baron_Brereton 1550 – 1 October 1631 has his wife as Margaret Savage.
http://www.historyofparliamentonline.org/volume/1604-1629/member/br... - mother - Holland Wife - Booth.
https://www.breretonlife.com/brereton-hall/ married Margaret Savage - guardian's daughter.

Getting late so I'll think more when I have time - further views? Suspect there were more than one William Brereton with wife Margaret!

Ah. That would explain the problem. Now to figure out who they are.
