Thanks to the efforts of a number of McPherson descendants, a marker for Alexander and Mary Beall McPherson was placed on their grave site at their former homestead on Sinking Creek. There to commemorate this occasion were Rick, Mark, Paul, Brent McPherson, and Claudia and Keith Howell. They were 5th, 6th and 7th great grandchildren of Alexander and Mary.
Descendants of Alexander and Mary may wish to consider attending a formal dedication and McPherson family gathering Memorial Day weekend in 2019.
