Removing out-of-date email addresses

Out-of-date addresses continue to appear on profiles' main pages even after new addresses are entered in the box which appears on profiles with "Emails to .. cannot be delivered. Please enter a new email address". Following Randy Schoenberg's suggestion I've been able to replace them by creating a new profile as a "sibling" and merging them but the out-of-date addresses continue to appear as the first listed on the Edit profile basics page.
Is it possible for Basic members to remove out-of-date addresses entirely? is it possible to remove them from main pages without creating and merging profiles?

If the user has claimed the profile, then only the user can remove their out of date email address.

I'm referring to unclaimed profiles Jonathan.

I don't think you'd be seeing the message "Emails to .. cannot be delivered" unless we thought the profile was claimed. In any event just PM the details and we'll get it sorted out!
