The Stephen Lee, son of Walter and husband to Elizabeth Woodward Lee lived and died in Lebanon, Ct. Their son Stephen married Mercy Bentley at the First Congregational Church on May 20, 1725 in Lebanon. They had a son named Ezra Lee who married Sarah Hackley, according to state records in 1769 also in Lebanon. After his service in the Revolutionary War they relocated to Washing County, NY. From there their son David was born. My direct male line is through this line. Our YDNA, according to the Lee Surname DNA Research Project is a match to Walter Lee. The clue is Lebanon, the marriages and the fact that Elizabeth's father, John is buried in Lebanon. The confusion arises over two Stephen's from the same time period being married to Elizabeth's and having sons named Stephen.
